Rules of The Forever Beyond

At TFB, we have rules to ensure a safe, compatible, and accepting atmosphere. These rules aren't meant to stifle your experience; rather, they're meant to ensure that you have a good time.
These rules are simple and we expect you to follow them. Thank you.

  1. Treat others as you would want yourself to be treated. (told you it was simple)

  2. We tolerate free speech as long as the other people on TFB agree with it. In other words, you can say anything you want as long as someone doesn't say, "That offends me, knock it off." At this point a SuperUser may have to intervene to resolve the issue. Please try to respect other's beliefs and feelings.

  3. Please keep vulgarities, lewd speech, and romantic/sexual content to a dull roar in public rooms where others are. Sometimes material of this nature is offensive to others; respect what other users tell you in terms of what offends them.

  4. Respect those who have higher levels and more experience than you do. If they are of a higher level than you, this is because they've been here longer OR they know what they're doing. Please show them the respect they deserve.

  5. Please ask for promotions only when you have the time needed to receive one (as specified in the .levels).

  6. ADVISORS and SENATORS are the policemen/women of this place. They spend countless hours making sure this place is kept orderly and entertaining. They are not only responsible for keeping users in order, but for detecting and reporting bugs and design problems. If an ADVISOR asks you to do something, please do. If you have a problem with an ADVISOR, please contact Ribbon.

  7. No promoting other talkers, chat lines, or MUDs in here, unless it is in your profile. Nowhere else. Users will be warned and then jailed for doing so. Promotion of web pages is fine (as long as they are not for another talker/MUD/MUSH).

  8. No multiple users. Although it may be fun to have more than one character, it is a strain on our server and disk space, and it's really not necessary. If you really need to have another character for some reason, please talk to Ribbon about it. We may be able to help you out.

  9. Triggers are disallowed, unless the user is actually at the computer while the trigger is running. Triggers may only be used to avoid timing out while multitasking. If a SU suspects the use of a trigger and attempts to .wake the user fail, the SU has the right to kill the user's session and/or punish or otherwise ban access to talker features. If you feel you have a special situation, please talk to an SU.

  10. Your user account is your own responsibility. Use of your account by another person in no way releases you from the consequences of any actions or speech that someone might make while under your character's account. If you believe that your account might have been cracked (broken into), please notify an SU immediately.

  11. Problems with this talker or the policies within should be directed to Ribbon through .smail or email.

  12. The management reserves the right to deny anyone permissons to commands, rooms, and to the talker itself. By no means is being here a right, it is a PRIVILEGE! Treat it as such.

  13. Management is not responsible for personal fights, arguments, or other disagreement. Management will do its best to alleviate problems but cannot see everything. As no public or private speech or actions are logged, if a SuperUser does not see it happen, we cannot help. Harrassment is not tolerated and if discovered, we will severely punish. You are warned.
